Into Our Studios: A look at our dance studio in Cranbourne.

Cranbourne is one of our MarShere Dance Studio's in the south east of Melbourne.

Here's a little inside peak into who's behind the scenes at Cranbourne.

Where is your studio?

Cranbourne

Where are you located?

We are located at Unit 6, 200 Sladen Street in Cranbourne.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your teachers?

Terry and Annalise Robertson, have been franchise owners within MarShere for over 15 years, so have much knowledge of dancing and running a studio. They have two daughters, Shae 12 years and Hannah 9 years, who both dance at the studio and assist in the kids classes. They truly believe that MarShere offers a real sense of community and can build lifelong friendships.

All of the teachers at MarShere Cranbourne have a real passion for dance and love the opportunity to share this with their pupils. Most of our teachers started with us as beginners and have worked their way through the levels and because of their commitment to the studio and their willingness to learn, were invited to be a part of our teacher training program. They are a very valuable part of the studio.

What classes do you run at your studio?

We run Tiny Tots, Kids, Teenage and Adult classes. As well as Bridal lessons, Debutante Balls and social groups.

How many students does your studio currently teach?

We currently have around 140 members at our studio, with many more attending casually. The kids and teens classes average around 20 pupils each, with the 2 adult nights around 60 pupils each.

What made you decide to own your own dance studio?

We pride ourselves on being able to provide a friendly, down to earth dance studio that the whole family can be involved with. A home away from home, somewhere to dance away the every day stresses, by offering a community, a place to stay active and make new friends.

What's the greatest thing about teaching dance?

The gift of giving.

If you had to give 1 piece of advice for a new dance student, what would it be?

Don't give up! At first it may seem hard or overwhelming, but try and get through a couple of classes and then you will find yourself absorbed in an amazing dancing community!

Thanks to Cranbourne for the small look into their studio. If you'd like to start dance classes, but aren't sure if they're for you, you can always grab your first dance class free and check it out!
